Russia and Spain expect to sign an agreement on the homologation of university degrees in 2017.

In the framework of the Forum Gaidar, the Russian vice minister of Education, Veniamín Kagánov announced at the roundtable on the 40th anniversary of the restoration of diplomatic relations between Russia and Spain that the Russian ministry hopes that an agreement on the recognition of university titles between Russia and Spain is signed by April of 2017.

Kaganov added that the text of the agreement is prepared and Russia sent it officially to Spain. The recognition of university titles will apply to all accredited universities of both countries.

Russia has already signed an agreement like this in 2015, with France, and in 2016, with Cyprus. According to the representative of the diplomatic office, the cooperation between Russia and Spain in the field of education "is increasingly reinforced."
